Number of Surveys

Previously, several opinion polls have described how people are increasingly afraid to speak up.

The survey of the Research Institute for Economic and Social Information Education (LP3ES) in 34 Cities in Indonesia on April 8-15, 2021 found a portrait of the current society which is increasingly afraid to express opinions, express, gather and associate.

LP3ES researcher Erwan Halil explained that the majority of the community as much as 52.1% agreed that the threat to Civil Liberties was increasing and resulted in increased public fear of opinion, expression and assembly and association as important foundations of freedom.

“This condition is also strengthened by the performance of the Government sector, where Freedom of Organization/Opinion only received a Public Rating of 59.2%,”|Erwan Halil (LP3ES Researcher), last Thursday (06/06/21).

The Indonesian Political Indicator also reveals the results of a recent survey on freedom of expression.
