UKRAINE, KUPANG TIMES - After traveling for 11 hours, the Extraordinary Train carrying the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi and Mrs. Negara, Iriana, arrived at platform 1 of Central Station Kyiv, Ukraine, at 08:50am, local time, Wednesday, (29/06/22).
After the door of the train car opened, the President and First Lady stepped off the train and were greeted by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Senik, Head of the Commission on Intergovernmental Relations between Ukraine and Indonesia, Taras Kachka, and officials from the Indonesian Embassy in Kyiv.
At noon local time, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi, is scheduled to go to the Marynsky Palace, to have a meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
In the afternoon, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi and Mrs. The country, Iriana, will return to Kyiv Central Station, to return to Poland, on the Extraordinary Train.
The following is the official statement by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi, when he first arrived in Kyiv City:
"The city of Irpin, Ukraine, behind me, is Lipky's apartment which was destroyed, as a result of the Russian military attack,"
"In the company of the Mayor of Irpin, Alexander Grigorovich Markushin, and I saw firsthand the damage to people's houses and a large amount of government infrastructure,"
"Hopefully, this war can be stopped soon and there are no more, cities in Ukraine that have been damaged."
