JAKARTA, KUPANG TIMES - The former FPI High Priest, Rizieq Shihab, was granted parole today, Wednesday (20/07/22).
This information was conveyed by the Coordinator of Public Relations and Protocol of the Directorate General of PAS, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, Rika Aprianti.
"That the person concerned will get parole on July 20, 2022,"|Rika Aprianti (Coord of Public Relations and Protocol of the Directorate General of PAS Kemenkumham Indonesian Republic), through a written statement.
Rika explained, that; "Rizieq has fulfilled the administrative and substantive requirements to get the right of remission and integration in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2022."
Elsewhere, Muhammad Rizieq Shihab's lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, said it was possible that the former FPI High Priest would be released from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police Headquarters today.
And Rizieq's lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, did not specify the time of Rizieq's release.

For information - Rizieq Shihab is behind bars, on December 12, 2020, after being named a suspect in the case of spreading false news from the results of the Covid-19 swab test, at Ummi Hospital, Bogor.
Rizieq was sentenced to four years in prison by the East Jakarta District Court for this case.
However, the Supreme Court, reduced the detention period to two years.
And Rizieq, was once detained at the Polda Metro Jaya Rutan, but was eventually transferred to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.
